Week 52

Dear family,
This week was good. I already told you about transfers..we did not end up leaving clinton until about 5:00 and we got stuck in bad traffic. And tons of road construction on a one lane freeway. On the way home we happened to see the elders stopped on the side of the road with a flat and we decided to stop and be nice and help on this tiny little shoulder where semis were really close...but turns out they could take care of it themselves. We didnt get back until about 7:30 or so. Also on transfer day our fleet coordinator and president tucker walked up to me and told me that i was getting my driving privliges taken away and i was a little freaked out because i have done nothing wrong and they were like hand over your license and I was like you can take my privliges but not my license and they were like haha just kidding. We can play jokes too. I was a little scared.
We found a new girl to teach last week. She let us in for our return appt and we got to talk to her alot and she told us a lot about her life. She is pretty depressed so we are hoping that she will open her heart to our message. She is really nice though. We also saw a few less actives. It was good. We did not see any of our investigators because they were all pretty busy. It is ok though.
We did get to see another girl (the elders investigator who we also teach). She is moving soon. this week she is teaching us how to make hot pepper jelly though. It is pretty cool. We have been going on this five mile hike once or twice a week with her. It is a lot of fun and because she is Buddhist it has helped us explain the creation and God's miracles of nature. It is pretty sweet.
Also the caption for my email...I SAW FIREFLIES!!!!!!!! My first fireflies. It was so cool. So we caught one. Then put it in a jar and used it for our night light. Not that they really stay lit the whole time. But then we also went out a few nights later and caught a lot to put in a jar. Those little suckers are tough to catch. It was really cool.
So onto my new companion. Sister Richards. She is awesome and I love her. She is from spokane washington and has been out 6 months. I remember when she first came in to the mission I knew I wanted to serve with her sometime and now we get to!! We have been having a lot of fun. It has been great.
Yesterday we were at dinner with one of my favorite families here and the mom and daughter had just gotten back from a school trip from WA DC and they knew how much i love that place so they were telling me all about it and they brought back this 3d white house puzzle for us to put together. it was awesome. I loved it.
Thats all i got. Guess what. I will be one year old this week! this calls for a celebration!! I hope you all have a good week. PLEASE WRITE A LOT!!!
